Meagan E. Graham, LPC

Meagan is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II (CCTP-II), and Virginia Board of Counseling approved clinical supervisor located in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Meagan has over 13 years of experience working in the mental health field in various settings including completing psychological testing, providing therapy in a residential setting, and practicing and supervising in private practice. Meagan is passionate about mental health, and believes that her role is to warmly, safely, and ethically support each client’s personal process of exploring their world and providing sound therapeutic support to assist with their healing journey. Meagan believes in a holistic approach to therapy that recognizes the mind and body connection.  She is formally trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) and utilizes a trauma informed approach with evidence-based therapy modalities that include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems), Mindfulness, Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Therapy, EFT Tapping, and body-focused self-regulation.

Shenita Williams, LPC

Shenita is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Virginia Board of Counseling approved clinical supervisor who has worked with children with behavioral and emotional support needs across multiple settings for over 10 years.  Shenita has a passion for working with young children who are impacted with significant life changes related to grief and loss, trauma, divorce and separation, foster care and adoption. She specializes in treating children with ADHD, anxiety, a history of trauma or trauma experiences, depression, and mood disorders.  Shenita utilizes strategies of play therapy as well as CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) to assist clients with self-regulation, building interpersonal and social skills, and decreased problem behaviors. She works with parents and guardians to provide psychoeducation and skills training to support the family in the home. Shenita understands the complex needs of children and how to tailor evidenced based practices to the developmental needs of the child and their family.

Kendra Artis, LPC

Kendra is a Licensed Professional Counselor who strives to provide a warm and safe place to work on a variety of concerns. She is passionate about helping individuals with navigating the difficulties of mental health, communication, and adjustment demands. She can assist individuals in increasing skills that may lead to an overall improvement in their level of functioning. She specializes in working with individuals in building self-esteem, developing effective coping skills, addressing trauma, adjustment issues, PTSD, stress and anger management, interpersonal skills, problem-solving, family discord, and effective communication skills.  Kendra has over 18 years of experience working in human services and working with specialized populations to include adults with mental health issues, adults with intellectual disabilities, and children with mental health issues. She believes that true Optimum health requires the mind, body, and spirit to be in balance.  

Agnes Zacarias, LPC

​Agnes is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). She has a Master's degree in Counseling, is formally trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) and has 20 years experience in mental health in various settings. She works with a range of clinical and life issues to include, anxiety, grief, trauma, spirituality, PTSD, life transitions, couple's work, relationship conflicts, coping, self-esteem, self-regulation and empowerment. Agnes works with adults, couples and adolescents age 13 – 17 years old. She also enjoys working with active duty/retired military and military spouses. She uses a trauma informed approach, is empathetic, person-centered and believes people are resilient. She listens to understand, and tailors therapy techniques to each individual or couple to support them towards their own solutions, healing goals and personal fulfillment. She believes in challenging and empowering people to be the experts of their lives.

Jade Williams, M.Ed., LPC-R

Jade is a Licensed Resident in Counseling pursuing her license as a professional counselor in Virginia. Jade Received her bachelor’s in human services minoring in dance from Old Dominion University in 2018. Jade Received her MSEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Old Dominion University in 2021. Jade has experience counseling in an Integrated Behavioral Healthcare setting along with Trauma informed outpatient setting and looks forward to continuing her professional and clinical growth as a compassionate therapist. Jade has specialized training in ADHD treatment for children and adults. To meet your specific needs, Jade takes a client-centered approach to counseling, integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and creative counseling. As a Resident at CHAT, Jade hopes to build therapeutic relationships that support and empower her clients along their paths of personal growth and wellness.

Tammy Whitt, M.Ed., LPC-R

Tammy is a Licensed Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia, bringing a unique blend of educational and clinical experience to her practice. After sixteen years as a classroom teacher, she earned her Master of Science in Education in Counseling from Old Dominion University and has spent the past five years serving as a dedicated school counselor. Tammy has worked extensively with children and adolescents ages 5 to 18, helping them navigate emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. She is passionate about supporting young people in their development and assisting families in creating nurturing, resilient environments. Her therapeutic style is client-centered and eclectic, with a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and attachment theory. Tammy is trained in trauma-informed care and incorporates mindfulness and grounding techniques to help manage anxiety. She utilizes evidence-based approaches such as art therapy, play therapy, and Circle of Security Parenting to meet each child's unique needs. Tammy is especially passionate about working with parents—providing the tools and insights they need to help their children thrive.
